STAR DEFENSE / 2026-10-16

Privacy

What data the game uses and how you can manage it.

1. Who is responsible

Star Defense is developed under the Domus Proxima brand. Data controller: Davide Sadotti. Contact phone: +39 3662904866. For data requests: privacy@domusproxima.com. Policy version: 2026-10-16.

2. Playing without connecting an account

You can play without connecting an account and without a network connection. The game stores progress, gameplay statistics, missions, virtual currencies, owned cosmetics, preferences, tutorial state and a suspended run on your device. The profile includes local identifiers, revisions and save timestamps, with recovery copies.

The game does not upload this data to Cloud Save until you connect an account. Operating system backups and store services are separate and depend on your device settings.

3. Optional account and cloud saves

When you choose to connect, Unity Player Accounts handles sign-in in your browser and the email address used for the account. The game does not receive your password and does not place passwords or tokens in the profile file.

Unity Authentication assigns a Player ID and manages the provider link and session. Unity Cloud Save stores profile copies associated with that Player ID, including progress, preferences, statistics, currencies and the suspended run. Multiple copies may exist following use on different devices or conflicts.

Synchronization is automatic while connected. Disconnecting stops synchronization on this installation but does not delete existing online copies. Network services may also process technical data, such as IP addresses, request information and errors, to deliver and secure the service.

4. Support and data requests

If you contact us, we process your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. Support and privacy mail uses Zoho Mail. Do not send passwords, sign-in codes, card details or unsolicited identity documents.

In the app you can prepare an access or deletion request containing the Player ID and game environment. When you are connected and the cloud is available, we may save random proof of account control in Cloud Save and include it in the message. It is not a sign-in credential: it helps verify the request. The code is valid for seven days; a new proof replaces the previous one. No request is sent until you send the email.

5. Advertising and purchases planned for release

Star Defense is planned to launch with advertising and in-app purchases. In the current development configuration, LevelPlay ads are not yet integrated and real-money payments are not enabled. Unity IAP packages are present in the project, but the purchase verification service is not connected. Reference prices and in-game currencies do not mean a payment has taken place.

Before enabling advertising or payments, we will update this policy, store declarations and, where necessary, consent choices. Before release, the actual advertising networks, data and identifiers processed, purposes, legal bases and available choices must be specified. Ad selection and any consent must also comply with the rules applicable to minors. Purchase-record retention: [PURCHASE-RECORD RETENTION TO DEFINE]. This draft does not yet describe an active advertising or payment service.

6. Purposes and legal bases

We use data necessary to run the game and, when requested, account access and cloud saves to provide the service (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). For technical support and service security and integrity we rely on legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)), taking your rights into account. For legal obligations and statutory data requests we rely on Article 6(1)(c).

Connecting an account is optional. Accepting personalized advertising is not required to play. The current project does not implement automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects or an advertising profiling feature.

7. Providers and transfers

Unity provides Authentication and Cloud Save as a processor for these services; it acts as an independent controller for Unity Player Accounts. Device and store services also process data under their own policies. Our policy does not replace Unity’s policy: https://unity.com/legal/privacy-policy .

The services used may involve processing outside the European Economic Area. Details of transfers and safeguards applicable to the selected configuration: [PROVIDERS AND SAFEGUARDS TO REVIEW]. We do not sell gameplay profiles.

8. Retention

Local profiles and recovery copies remain on the device until app data is removed, subject to operating system backups. Uninstalling does not remove cloud copies. Cloud saves remain until you request deletion; the game does not apply an automatic inactivity expiry.

Account-control proof is replaced on the next request or removed while handling the request, even if its validity has already expired. Retention of correspondence and the minimal request record: Up to 12 months after a case is closed for support correspondence and the minimal data-request record. This allows recurring issues and past actions to be followed up without keeping messages indefinitely. Attachments and exports are deleted when no longer needed, normally within 30 days after closure. Open disputes or legal obligations may justify longer retention, limited to necessary data and explained to the person concerned. This period does not automatically apply to purchase records.. Any legally required exceptions must be explained in the response.

9. Your rights

Where applicable under the GDPR, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction and portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier processing. Contact privacy@domusproxima.com; we may request only the information needed to verify your identity.

We respond without undue delay, normally within one month of the request; any legally permitted extension will be explained. You may complain to the Italian data protection authority, https://www.garanteprivacy.it/ , or the competent authority in your country.

10. Audience and updates

Intended release audience: Teenagers aged 16 and over and adults. The first release is designed for users aged at least 16.. This choice must match the store and account-service terms; this draft does not authorize use of services by children without the required measures.

We will update this policy when the data or services used change. The version date identifies the text available in the app and on the website.
